About the project

What are cookies and how do we use them?

Cookies are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer. They improve your experience on our Site and allow us to get insights into how users interact with our Services. The next paragraph describes what information cookies gather, how we use them and why we sometimes need to store these cookies.

What types of cookies do we use?

Our website is powered by Shopify; you can find a detailed list of which cookies are set here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies#merchant-storefronts

In some special cases we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties. Third-party cookies include:

  • Google Analytics
These cookies help us to understand how you use our Site. They may track things such as how much time you spend on the Site and what products you view in detail. This information helps us to improve your experience as a customer and to continue producing engaging content. For more information on Google Analytics Cookies, see the official Google Analytics page: https://policies.google.com/privacy

  • Hotjar
Hotjar analytics give us a more detailed insight into what parts of our Site are used, and where customers might have difficulties understanding the content. For more information on Hotjar cookies, see the official Hotjar page: https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy/

  • Facebook Pixel
The Facebook Pixel helps us to measure the success of our Facebook Ads. Furthermore, it will allow us to target our advertisements more efficiently. The collected data remains anonymous and we cannot see the personal data of any individual user. However, the collected data is saved and processed by Facebook. Facebook may be able to connect the data with your Facebook account and use the data for their own advertising purposes. To learn more about Facebook Pixel visit: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
How to manage cookies

You can manage/delete cookies as you wish - for details, see aboutcookies.org.

Removing cookies from your device

You can delete all cookies that are already on your device by clearing the browsing history of your browser. This will remove all cookies from all websites you have visited. Be aware though that you may also lose some saved information (e.g. saved login details, site preferences).

Managing site-specific cookies

For more detailed control over site-specific cookies, check the privacy and cookie settings in your preferred browser.

Blocking cookies

You can set the most modern browsers to prevent any cookies being placed on your device, but you may then have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site/page. Some services and functionalities may not work properly at all (e.g. profile log-in).

Newsletter and Email Marketing

We offer you the option to sign up for a newsletter to receive updates from Humans since 1982. These updates include but are not limited to news about the studio, exhibitions, product announcements, product offers and other marketing content. Your newsletter subscription is independent of any customer accounts you might already have with us and we will not link your accounts for any marketing purposes. This privacy policy is applicable for all newsletter signups on humanssince1982.com, or through online advertisements.

To manage our newsletter contact lists and send out emails we use the services of Mailchimp. To get a full overview of all data Mailchimp collects, stores and processes read the full privacy policy statement here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/#3._Privacy_for_Contacts

We have highlighted some important information below, but please be aware that this list does not include everything in detail and that all information can be found in Mailchimp’s privacy policy.

  • What data do we store
We will store your email address to get in touch with you. Optionally you can also provide your first and last names that will get stored alongside your mail address. We use these only to personalise parts of the mailings we send out (such as a personal greeting).

  • Where do we store your data
When you sign up, your data will be transferred to and stored on servers controlled by Mailchimp. These servers can also be located outside the EU/EEA, such as in the US, but your data is at all times appropriately safeguarded. You can read more on this topic in Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy under section 5.E(ii)

  • How can I unsubscribe/have my data deleted?
Every newsletter we send out will have an unsubscribe link attached to it in the lower section of the message. By clicking on the link you automatically get unsubscribed from our list and your contact info will get deleted. Additionally, you can also contact us directly at mail@humanssince1982.com with the email address you want us to remove and indicate your removal request there.
